๐Ÿ“ Abstract
These days, weโ€™re dealing with more data than ever before. To make sense of it all, we need good data visualization. Itโ€™s not just nice to have โ€“ itโ€™s a must-have for making smart decisions in any industry. This study systematically investigates how the integration of Python and SQL can streamline and optimize data visualization workflows, offering a reproducible and scalable analyt-ical framework. Through a systematic review of five key studies, we examine how Pythonโ€™s visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly) provide flexibility, customization, and interactivity, while SQL enables efficient data extraction, aggregation, and preparation. Weห›cล‚awski et al. (2026) compared commercial tools and Python li-braries, concluding that Python offers greater programmability for complex visualizations. Guo et al. (2024) demonstrated a real-world pipeline using Python for data collection and MySQL for storage, with Flask and ECharts for frontend visualization. Kabir et al. (2024) systematically reviewed Pythonโ€™s capabilities across data cleaning, manipulation, and visualization, highlighting NumPy and Pandas as foundational libraries. Han and Kwak (2023) provided practical insights into Matplotlib and Seaborn, emphasizing their importance for exploratory data analysis and trend identification. Taleska et al. (2008), though foundational in nature, established the significance of SQL-based data preparation techniques โ€” including views and star schemas โ€” that continue to underpin modern visu-alization pipelines. Together, these studies confirm that Python and SQL work synergistically: SQL handles data extraction and pre-processing efficiently, while Python creates customized, interactive visualizations. This integration significantly enhances analytical ef-ficiency, reduces preprocessing time, and improves decision-making accuracy. The paper concludes that combining Python and SQL is essential for modern data visualization workflows, with future directions including real-time data integration and AI-assisted visu-alization.
